Since the 1990s, CWA Locals 3104 and 3112 have proudly championed the educational aspirations of our members and their families. What began as a grassroots effort to help working families afford higher education quickly became a core pillar of our union identity. Over the decades, we have consistently worked to remove financial barriers, honoring the enduring legacy of dedicated leaders like Danny Byers and Scott Throop by ensuring that the cost of tuition does not stand in the way of a student's potential.
With the historic merger of Locals 3104, 3112, and 3180, our collective voice and capacity to give back have never been stronger. Now operating as a unified front, we have established an official 501(c)(3) public charity to exponentially grow our impact. Today, our goal is to provide larger, more comprehensive academic and vocational scholarships. We are no longer just supporting our immediate membership; we are actively investing in the broader community, empowering the next generation of workers, leaders, and innovators.
